National Retail Foundation Customer Service Training Program

Students will gain the skills needed for a job as an entry-level in the retail industry. In this course students will examine a variety of careers in the retail industry. Topics included in this course are building a strong foundation of customer service, building customer relationships, educating customers on products and services, gaining customer commitment and closing the sale, developing and implementing a sales follow-up plan, merchandising, the basics of inventory control, and store loss prevention strategies. Students will also prepare for the National Retail Foundation Certification in Customer Service.
