ReServe®, established in 2005, has been a proud Member of the FedCap Group since 2012. ReServe is an innovative nonprofit that matches retired and semi-retired professionals age 50+, our “ReServists”, to organizations that need their expertise. With ReServe, nonprofits and public service agencies tap into a lifetime of experience to fill crucial staffing gaps at affordable rates. ReServists strengthen communities by applying their experience on part-time assignments in exchange for a modest hourly stipend.
ReServists come from all walks of life and include marketing managers, grant writers, social workers, artists, administrative assistants, educators, accountants and financial analysts as well as people who have worked at all levels in health care, banking, advertising, technology, human resources and government.
In addition to ReServe’s ability to enhance an organization’s workforce capacity, we have social impact areas targeting Education, Health Care and Poverty-Fighting. ReServists have been trained and deployed to serve as:
- Health Care Navigators: Facilitating Access to Necessary Medical or Mental Health Services
- Success Mentors to At-Risk Youth: Serving in Schools, Community Centers and After-School Programs
- Dementia Care Coaches: Supporting Individuals, Families, Caregivers as well as Para-Professionals
- Community Advocates: Connecting Under-Served Residents to Nutrition Entitlements and Other Public Benefits
- PrepNow! Trainers: Educating Foster Care Parents on How to Create a College-Going Culture in their Home
ReServe partners with nonprofit organizations, government agencies as well as select for-profits of all sizes, budgets and missions. Our community partners engage ReServists in short-term or long-term projects from 10 – 30 hours per week. ReServists are paid through a third-party vendor which serves as the employer of record. This allows our partners to enjoy the benefit of a ReServists’ talent without the customary costs associated with direct hires. There are no up-front charges for organizations to register with ReServe. Invoices are generated monthly based on approved hours served by the ReServist which includes their stipend and standard administrative fees. ReServe also has been funded on projects through The Milbank Foundation, The Victoria Foundation, AARP Foundation, The Altman Foundation, Anthem Health Care and The Prudential Foundation.
ReServe currently operates in New York, New Jersey, South Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Washington D.C. In 2019, Reserve plans to launch services in Texas.
