Fedcap’s Vocational Rehabilitation Department is home to our Diagnostic Vocational Evaluation, or "DVE" services, where students undergo testing, skills assessment, and career counseling. A Diagnostic Vocational Evaluation helps participants decide what types of work they want to pursue, what careers they have an aptitude for, and whether or not their current career goal is the right one for them.
Several types of evaluation are offered, and they are either given one at a time, or all together.

Allows participants to test their job skills by working alongside trainees in Fedcap's job training programs in custodial maintenance, culinary arts, and computer/office skills. Instructors evaluate participants on punctuality, attendance, ability to follow instructions, and skills. Then they generate a report assessing the candidate’s potential for success in a particular field.
