VetsWork

More than 230,000 Post-9/11 veterans are unemployed – at a rate way above that for the general population. The picture is particularly grim among women who served. Businesses say they want to employ veterans, and veterans want jobs. Yet employers say that, even in this market, it’s not always easy to find, much less hire and advance, the right veterans for the right openings. Veterans say they’re finding it just as hard as non-veterans to get a job. Service-providers say many veterans don’t know enough about the benefits they can access and may need now or sometime in the future.

Fedcap’s workforce development and job creation programs address the needs of veterans. The vision of our VetsWork initiative is to ensure that any veteran who wants to be employed is employed.
