Fedcap helps NYC work. Since 1935, we have helped people with all types of disabilities and barriers to employment join the workforce, while providing vital services to business and government.
Fedcap kicked off our 75th anniversary year by hosting the Annual Meeting and Celebration of Work at Ten on the Park, Time Warner Center in Manhattan on November 30, 2009. This year’s premier event honored Dick Traum, Ph.D., President and Founder of Achilles International; Tina Ballard, Executive Director of the AbilityOne Program; and Colonel Elspeth Cameron Ritchie, M.D., MPH, the Office of the U.S. Army Surgeon General. 260 friends and supporters of Fedcap attended this year’s event and the guests were entertained with special performances by Broadway star Tshidi Manye of The Lion King and the Fedcap Choir.
One highlight of this year’s Celebration of Work was the Guardian Angel Gift Auction, where guests had the opportunity to purchase much needed items for Fedcap’s vocational training programs. Many auction items are still available so please include Fedcap in your seasonal giving this year!

Each year, over 3,000 New Yorkers trade dependency for economic self-sufficiency thanks to Fedcap. Our training programs and support services give individuals the skills and confidence they need to succeed at work. Our graduates obtain jobs at private companies or with Fedcap.

Every day, Fedcap demonstrates that employing people with disabilities makes business sense. With a workforce of 600 people at more than 25 locations, Fedcap is one of the largest employers of people with disabilities in the region. Our workers deliver high quality building, office and industrial services throughout the NYC area.
