Fedcap Home Health Aide Training provides a high quality, three-week training program for individuals seeking employment as a Fedcap Home Health Aide. The program is free of charge to eligible candidates, although there is a book fee of $40.
To be eligible, you must:

- Be a U.S. citizen or have a green card
- Have proof of residency
- Read at the 6th grade level or higher, and
- Undergo free physical, drug screening, and criminal background checks
Fedcap’s program includes "special needs" training that reflects the diverse patient populations of our contracts. Our standard curriculum also includes HIV/AIDS training, hospice training and a unit on Traumatic Brain Injury. To become fully certified as a home health aide, candidates must also successfully complete 8 hours of supervised clinical evaluation in the field by a Register Nurse after the training program.
Additionally, some aides are selected for two specialized in-service programs: "Understanding Mental Illness", and "Serving Patients With Hearing Loss".
