Fedcap's mission is to be the premier organization helping people with barriers to employment achieve independence and full participation in the economic mainstream.
Fedcap seeks to accomplish its mission by providing services to individuals, business and government in accordance with the highest ethical standards.

Fedcap believes that all people should have the opportunity to reach their potential in the workplace.

Fedcap was founded by individuals with severe disabilities in 1935, a time when people with disabilities were not believed to be capable of employment or self-sufficiency. Fedcap was one of the first vocational rehabilitation organizations in the country and helped to define the profession. We have pioneered training and employment programs for people with disabilites, welfare recipients, displaced workers and others with disadvantages.
