Fedcap Home Care provides high-quality home health and personal care services to people who are elderly, disabled and/or recuperating from illness or hospital stays.

As a Home Health Aide you will provide complete care and comfort to our patients in their own homes, communities, or in nursing facilities.

Fedcap Home Health Aides provide: 

  • Ambulatory escorting to medical appointments
  • Assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming
  • Help with walking indoors and outdoors
  • Light housekeeping
  • Cooking, shopping and laundry assistance


Home Health Aide Training
Fedcap Home Care has more than thirty years of experience training Home Health Aides. If you are a reliable, competent and caring person looking for a fulfilling career, come and train with Fedcap.

Fedcap Home Care offers a comprehensive three-week training course using the New York State Department of Health curriculum. The program is free of charge to eligible candidates, although there is a $40 book fee.

Once you become a Certified Home Health Aide, Fedcap Home Care provides ongoing, in-service education classes and periodic specialized training programs for Home Health Aides interested in enhancing their skills including: providing care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities, difficult home situations, and diverse cultural backgrounds.

Home Health Aide Training Requirements
To be eligible for free Home Health Aide training, candidates must bring the following items to Fedcap:

  • Photo I.D.
  • Valid Social Security Card
  • Proof of address (State ID, Con Edison bill, lease, telephone bill or envelope with your address)
  • Candidates must be U.S. citizens or have proof of residency; read at the 6th grade level or higher; and undergo a free physical, drug screening, criminal background check, and an FBI fingerprint check.
