Maureen Bentley oversees Fedcap’s assessment, skills training, job placement, case management and follow-up services. Ms. Bentley, who joined Fedcap in 1974 as Director of Rehabilitation Services, developed the agency’s system of delivering vocational skills training programs and job placement—the largest such system under contract with New York State’s ACCES-VR – as well as a job re-training program for dislocated workers, several welfare-to-work programs that became regional and national models, and Fedcap’s Chelton Loft clubhouse program for formerly homeless individuals with severe mental illness.

Ms. Bentley has served on the Board of Directors of the New York State Rehabilitation Association since 2004 and became Treasurer in 2006. She is a member of the Rehabilitation Association Vocational Committee and serves on many other ongoing and ad hoc committees in the rehabilitation industry. She received her Master of Science in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from New York University.
