Fedcap Rehabilitation Services. seeks a Psychiatrist who will direct psychiatric services for adult clients in an Outpatient Mental Health facility located in the Bronx, New York.

Essential Functions

• Psychiatric and medical assessments, evaluations and treatments
• Clinical supervision of clinical staff
• Development, maintenance and supervision of medication administration
• Psychiatric and medical treatment, evaluation, and education
• Symptom management and psychiatric rehabilitative readiness determination
• Run a group on medication management for the clients
• On call for other duties as determined necessary by the Executive Director

• Ability to empathize with people
• Ability to set the tone for the highest quality mental health care
• Ability to partner with community providers ensuring a holistic approach to treatment
• Strong understanding of medications and side effects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong sense of ethical responsibility
• Ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications

• Board Certified Psychiatrist with experience and leadership abilities to pilot this department for Fedcap.
• Licensed to practice in the State of New York
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience
• Experience with Dually diagnosed consumers is preferred
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus
