Partner Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Partner Coordinator’s primary responsibility is to liaison with the NYC Department of Probation (DOP). The Partner Coordinator in partnership with the DOP will manage the referral system and ongoing communication on probationer status. He or she will also be responsible for developing relationships with social service providers to deliver additional services that address individuals’ barriers to employment.  Additionally, the Partner Coordinator builds a strong understanding of partner organizations and develops appropriate strategies to connect job ready candidates to the opportunities available at the Center’s recruitment events.

Location: The Bronx

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general information on center services, resource room services, educational and computer workshops, Partner services, training grants, career planning, and recruitment events
  • Answer customer’s questions and inquiries about center services
  • Assess customers’ job readiness status
  • Refer appropriately to account executives for job placement
  • Serve as a liaison to the Center account management team to understand active job orders
  • Work with account managers to strategize the segmentation of job orders to meet market demand and supply
  • Track job placement and provide feedback on placement and retention
  • Compile and communicate weekly reports to partners on the status of their engagement and feedback on customers referred to the Center
  • Provide overall placement data for weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and strategy
  • Provide on-the-ground outreach to CBOs through marketing of the partnership process and roles
  • Communicate the objectives of the segmentation strategy to community-based organizations that are providing the preparatory skills that match current demand sectors and are effectively screening candidates for employment connections and job opportunities available through the Center.
  • Communicate with Account Management staff regarding the most recent job orders and effectively communicate recruitment information to CBOs with relevant training programs
  • Manage expectations of partner organizations and ensure that accurate and timely information is being communicated and received by and from partner organizations
  • Serve as liaison between CBOs and the Center system
  • Facilitate group orientations for center customers
  • Assess and identify customers’ needs for employment services, educational and computer workshops and refer to the appropriate internal resources to meet those needs

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • ·Bachelor’s degree in marketing, HR or related field.
  • ·Experience working with community-based organizations and/or government entities.
  • ·Experience managing a network of providers and providing technical assistance to these providers
  • ·Strong data analysis and presentation skills
  • ·Experience sorting and tracking data for the purposes of contractual reporting
  • ·Project management experience and knowledge of workforce and economic development a plus
  • ·Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ·Demonstrated competence in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
