Health Care Business Development Director

Position Directly Reports To:  Vice President, Health Care Services

Main Function of Position
The Health Care Business Development Director builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business opportunities. Serves as the primary business contact for the client and is responsible for client satisfaction.  

Responsibilities:
1. Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations

2. Locates and proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities

3. Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies; understanding operational and financial requirements and potential; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments

4. Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new ventures with company strategies; evaluates risks and potentials; estimates partners' needs and goals

5. Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry events and publications 


Requirements:

  • Experienced Sales Executive with established track record of accomplishment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Entrepreneurial, action-oriented individual 
  • Proactive, driven, and looking for fast-paced challenging environment 
  • Experience with Certified Home Health Aide Agencies (CHHA), Long Term Programs (LTC), Managed Care Organization (MCO) and/or Private Pay Sector highly desired
  • Familiar with a mix of payer sources 
  • Network of contacts in the healthcare industry
  • BA/BS preferable or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • 5 years experience in the Healthcare Industry
  • Past experience with Visiting Nursing Service of New York and Metropolitan Jewish Home Care is preferred
