Account Manager for Sales

Job Summary:
The Account Management team is responsible for direct placement of job seekers and ensuring employer needs are met during the hiring process.  In partnership with the Department of Small Business Services, the Business Service team will be responsible creating quarterly business development plans outlining activities in target sectors and monitoring placement within goals.  Under the direction of the Business Services Coordinator, the team will be responsible for the ongoing implementation of the business development plan and ongoing strategic planning to achieve placement goals.  Additional responsibilities include researching prospective target employers with high-volume hiring needs, and developing, cultivating and maintaining relationships with key employers.

Location: The Bronx 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a part of a team, responsible for meeting the recruitment needs of discerning NYC based employers.
  • Lead employer accounts, set account standards (recruit to hire and fill rate targets) and manage candidate referral process and account performance.
  • Maintain data input quality in the database system.
  • Provide daily, weekly and as needed performance analysis of the assigned accounts to the Business Services Coordinator.
  • Effectively partner with internal and external operations and business partners to meet the needs of employers and job seeking candidates.
  • Represent New York Business Solutions and foster positive relationships with employers and/or their designated representatives.
  • Represent the Center business relations team in organizational and contract agency meetings.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field.
  • Two years of experience providing recruitment and sourcing support to employers.
  • Familiarity and comfort with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working with economically disadvantaged workers, welfare recipients, formerly incarcerated individuals, disconnected youth and other disadvantaged populations.

Bilingual (English-Spanish) required for some positions.
