Michael Brenner is the Chief Resource at Brenner Executive Resources, Inc. He began specializing in executive coaching in 2001, serving clients in technology, financial services, media and manufacturing. A Certified Master Coach, he has worked with hundreds of executives from CEOs to Directors.
Previously, Mr. Brenner worked in human resources consulting, academia, and information technology. He has extensive experience in handling senior-level executive searches and has participated in engagements in performance evaluation, compensation, and staffing. He also spent three years as Associate Professor of Management at New York University’s Stern School of Business and started his career in information systems at Bell Laboratories.
Mr. Brenner has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Doctor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering with a minor in psychology from Johns Hopkins University. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as a Second Lieutenant. Mr. Brenner has attended coach training with the Behavioral Coaching and Coach Training Institutes, is a member of the International Coach Federation, and has been an invited speaker on executive coaching at professional conferences and universities. He was a charter member of the Human Resource Executive Forum for over 20 years, was a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and President of the New York Chapter, and is active in the Society for Information Management. He formed the New York Executive Coaching Network in 2006. He joined the Fedcap Board in 1995 and served as Chair from 2003 to 2008.
