Ann Thayer, a daughter of The Way to Work founder Walter Thayer, worked for 25 years in residential mortgage lending and private banking. She was Vice President at Boston Company, Bankers Trust and The Manhattan Mortgage Company, where she was recognized as one of the top 200 mortgage brokers in the nation.
A graduate of Duke University and an MBA from Columbia University, Ms. Thayer has served as co-chair of the Duke University Women's Studies Council and board member of the Duke-New York Leadership Committee, and also on the New York Board of the National Alliance for Mental Illness. She currently volunteers as a mentor at the Children's Storefront in Harlem.
Ms. Thayer joined the Board of The Way to Work (then known as VFI) in the 1970s and has served as President and as a member of the Executive and Development committees. She joined the Fedcap Board in 2011.
